The Dalles City

June 17, 4:30 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, 800 block of West 6th Street. Officer assisted with the exchange of information.

June 18, 9:30 a.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, West 2nd and Webber streets. One driver was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device. A report was taken.

Wasco County

June 17, 5:44 p.m. – Single vehicle, injury crash, Wamic. A report was taken.

June 18, 10:34 p.m. – Single vehicle, non-injury crash, 5100 block of Cherry Heights Road. Vehicle had gone off the road due to excessive speeds. Driver was cited and released for reckless driving; a report was taken.

Oregon State Police

June 20, 2:47 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 79. Driver rear ended a dump truck and was cited for following too close. A report was taken.

June 20, 5:16 p.m. – Vehicle versus pedestrian, injury crash, Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 76. Driver struck a construction worker in the area. The construction worker was transported to the hospital in Hood River. Driver was cited for recklessly endangering a highway worker, failing to maintain a lane, and operating an unsafe vehicle. A report was taken.

Fire

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

June 17, 3:11 p.m. – Personnel responded to Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 75 on a report of a grass fire. Mosier fire department had arrived first and had the blaze out. Fire started near the tracks of the railroad.

June 18, 7:16 p.m. – Personnel responded to West 8th and Hostetler streets on a burn complaint. The area was checked but no sign of fire or smoke were found.

June 19, 6:15 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 5700 block of Highway 30 on a report of smoke in the area. A burn was located and contact was made with the property owner who did not know there was a burn ban. The fire was extinguished without incident.

June 20, 7:50 a.m. – Personnel responded to the 5200 block of Cherry Heights Road on a report of a burn complaint. Upon arrival a property owner was located near the pile with a hose. He was advised of the burn ban and put the fire out.

Personnel also responded to seven calls for emergency medical services on Friday, seven on Saturday, five on Sunday and six on Monday.

A burglary report was taken Friday morning from the 700 block of Court Street after a victim reported his work tools were stolen from a construction site.

A theft report was taken Friday morning from the 900 block of Kelly Avenue after a victim reported his bicycle was stolen.

A theft report was taken Friday morning from the 2500 block of West 6th Street after a victim reported some items were stolen from the back of his truck overnight.

A theft report was taken Friday morning from the 1200 block of West 6th Street after an employee reported two suspects fled the store with unpaid merchandise.

A theft report was taken Friday afternoon from the 500 block of East 14th Street after a victim reported his old roommate stole some of his belongings when moving out.

A theft report was taken Friday afternoon from the 400 block of East 2nd Street after an employee reported a suspect stole some items from her store and has the suspect on video. The incident is under investigation.

A theft report was taken Friday evening from the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street after a victim reported her purse was stolen.

Wayne Michael Holmes, 25, Medford, was arrested Friday evening during a traffic stop at West 2nd and Union streets and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

A runaway report was taken Friday evening from the 700 block of Pomona Street.

Rocky Allen Dexter Hamilton, 37, The Dalles, was arrested early Saturday morning at West 3rd Street and West 4th Place and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamine. He was also arrested on a warrant for first-degree failure to appear.

Arturo Dominguez, 21, The Dalles, was arrested early Saturday morning during a traffic stop at the East 2nd Street roundabout and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

A juvenile female was cited in-lieu of arrest for a municipal court warrant Saturday evening during a traffic stop at West 10th and Irvine streets. A report was taken.

An informational report was taken Saturday evening from the 300 block of West 21st Street after a caller reported her juvenile daughter may have had inappropriate contact with an adult male. The incident is under investigation.

Ramiro Reyes Arrellano, 25, The Dalles, was arrested early Sunday morning during a traffic stop on East 10th and Washington streets and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

A burglary report was taken Sunday morning from the 300 block of East 2nd Street after a caller reported observing the front glass to a business being broken. Owner came down to check the damage and advised they would inventory anything that was missing.

A criminal mischief report was taken Sunday morning from the 2100 block of West 9th Place after a victim reported her tires were slashed overnight.

A burglary report was taken Sunday morning from the 200 block of East 1st Street after a caller reported a vacant business was broken into and had some items stolen.

Police responded to the 2600 block of West 6th Street Sunday afternoon after state police reported a customer was denied the sale of a firearm due to criminal history. A report was taken and the incident is under investigation.

Police responded to the 3600 block of West 8th Street Sunday evening after a caller reported a male subject in the home had just shot himself. A report was taken.

A burglary report was taken Sunday evening from the 1300 block of East 12th Street after a victim she came home and found a suspect in her home. The incident is under investigation.

Dennis Wayne Ladoux, 61, The Dalles, was arrested early Monday morning near West 6th and Ash streets and is accused of parole violation.

Police responded to the 1200 block of East 17th Street Monday morning after a caller reported a female suspect was trying to break into the home and take the children. Suspect was located and arrested for first-degree kidnapping, first-degree burglary, and resisting arrest. Suspect information was not made available.

An agency assist report was taken Monday afternoon after assisting Wasco County with locating a suspect in a hit and run incident.

Frederick Manuel Harty, 39, The Dalles, was arrested Monday evening in the 2500 block of West 2nd Street and is accused of second-degree disorderly conduct.

Wasco County

An identity theft report was taken Friday afternoon from Mosier after a victim reported someone opened a credit card account in his name.

An agency assist report was taken Friday evening from Threemile and Steele roads after assisting state police with a crash.

Marcos Ethan Lamas, 33, The Dalles, was arrested Friday evening during a traffic stop in the 4500 block of Highway 30 and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

A theft report was taken Sunday afternoon from Tygh Valley after a victim reported a large amount of cash was stolen. The incident is under investigation.

A missing person’s report was taken Sunday evening from Tygh Valley after a subject was missing for a period of time from the festival.

An assault report was taken Monday afternoon from the 4800 block of Pleasant Ridge Road after a victim reported her boyfriend assaulted her. The incident is under investigation.

A burglary report was taken Monday afternoon from the 3700 block of West 13th Street after maintenance staff reported the abandoned middle school had been broken into again.

A hit and run report was taken Monday afternoon from Highway 197 near milepost 4 after a vicitim reported a suspect vehicle hit him in a possible road rage incident then fled from the scene.

Jim Dean Looney, 28, The Dalles, was arrested Friday afternoon on Interstate 84, milepost 77 and is accused of parole violation. Nathaniel Ray Dick, 27, Wapato, Wash., was also arrested on a warrant for failure to pay fines.

Sherman County

Roger Jay Duchemin, 39, Rufus, was arrested Saturday afternoon in Rufus on a warrant for first-degree failure to appear.

Shyan Rae McDaniel, 19, Rufus, was arrested Saturday afternoon in Rufus on a warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation.

Linda Pearl Redden Hughes, 62, Moro, was arrested Monday evening in Moro and is accused of probation violation.

Regional Jail

Heart Ovie Obieroma, 28, Seattle, Wash., was jailed and released Monday on a court commitment for first-degree failure to appear.

Matthew Lawrence Larrea, 28, Kent, Wash., was jailed Monday on a court commitment for reckless driving.

Leo Francis Charpentier, 48, Wishram, Wash., was jailed Monday on a court commitment for harassment and second-degree disorderly conduct.

Kimberly Carol Perez, 18, Hood River, was jailed Monday on a court commitment for unlawful delivery of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
