12U Stars aim for the future

Little League All Star players representing The Dalles’ 12U team gather for a group photograph last week in Prineville. The group was eliminated in two games. In the picture are, starting in the top row, Sam Evans, Deric Anthony and Chris Losee. In the middle row are, from left, Jaxon Pullen, Keegan Losee, Andru Weaver, Drew Evans, Austin Agidius, and Nathan Hedges. In the bottom row are, from left, Keon Kiser, Gavin Cates, Elijah Roden, William Hoover, Shane Floyd, Isaac Anthony, and Gabe Petroff. Most of the players will move on to Babe Ruth competition next year, and coach Anthony is excited about their potential on the bigger stage.
"I could not be more proud of this team,” Anthony said. “To come to a tournament like this after working so hard and end up on the losing side of things, these kids stayed positive as a team through it all. This group has a great future and are all going to do great at anything they put their heart into.” Contributed photo
