Mosier project denied again

Extended railroad siding would impact tribal rights

Meeting at the Fort Dalles Readiness Center, the 13 members of the Columbia River Gorge Commission decided on Tuesday to deny Union Pacific’s appeal of Wasco County’s rejection of the railroad’s plan to extend an existing siding at Mosier. The decision prohibits UP from proceeding with the project.
