RaeLynn, John's offer to take you on a 5 day fact finding tour would be life changing for you. You have command of a small newspaper, and for a very opinionated Editor, a little lesson in true news would be good for your future resumes. I have listened to John's take on what is really going on in Palestine. Luckily, my husband and I had a true Palestinian advocate years ago in Boulder, CO. A young and passionate artist who also had traveled to Palestine pretty much convinced us that we needed to read a bit and learn that Israel was the aggressor in most incidents there. When we met John, here in The Dalles, we revisited the same issues, only far more intensified, from his point of view. Were I younger, and a journalist, I'd jump at a chance to go with John. As an older, senior citizen, I have to rely on people like John, who actually go there and see firsthand, the actual people, and places we usually don't read about in the news (Your concept of what didn't happen in the news) because the real situation is not something our government wants us to know about, (We watch RR to get any kind of decent news regarding the Middle East. John's a gentleman, and a caring Christian. He'll show you the world he has seen and let you draw your own conclusions. Cross Talk is ok for some issues, RaeLynn, but not this one. It's a little more complicated than our local political chatter. Sue Wilson
