To the editor:
It was the day after Christmas and I was driving through town noticing the overflowing cans and dumpsters with Christmas remains. I laughingly said to myself, “I am not the only one who forgot you had a much deserved holiday, but tomorrow your efforts will make the town shine again.”
Do you know how much we appreciate you?
You are so needed and all of us in our busy world do not realize this until the day hits “pause” and the town looks like a tsunami with a season 2 to follow sweeps through; and then the next day you clean all this up and our fair city is as fresh and clean as an early morning sunrise on a hot summer day.
We do not on purpose take you for granted, but we do unknowingly.
You work every day picking up our leftovers and your job is dirty, but you are good at it and you will always have a job because where there is life, there is garbage.
So please accept thanks from everyone, including me, for your everlasting service.
We could not live clean without you.
