Kenneth Lee Miller, 65, a resident of The Dalles, Ore., died at a local hospital Saturday, March 30, 2013.
He was born Nov. 4, 1947 in Bismarck, N.D., to Thomas and Hazel (Hoosier) Miller. He was raised and educated in Princeton, Minn., graduating from Princeton High School and Pine City Tech. He moved to The Dalles in 1977.
On Aug. 12, 1982 he and Julie Gigante were married. He owned and operated Northwest Home Inspections and was also co-owner of Miller Brothers Construction. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed classic cars, gardening and finishing antique furniture.
He is survived by his wife Julie Miller, The Dalles, Ore.; daughters Amy Miller, Vancouver, Wash., and Nicole Miller, Minnesota; sisters Beverly Wainwright, Florida; and brothers Bob Miller, The Dalles; and Dick Miller, Nebraska.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Janet Benson and Diana Miller.
A celebration of life is planned at The Dalles Civic Auditorium, 323 E. Fourth St., The Dalles, on Friday, April 5, from 4 to 6 p.m. Desserts and beverages will be served.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mid-Columbia Health Foundation Chaplain’s Fund, 1700 East 19th, The Dalles, Oregon 97058.
