Chester E. Pratt, 79, a resident of Dufur, Ore., for the past 20 years, died Sunday April 14, 2013, at a local care center.
He was born July 22, 1933, in The Dalles, Ore., to Thompsey Sandord Pratt and Velda Jane Pratt. He was the fifth male child of seven children all deceased except for one living sister May Florene
Hill of Lansing, North Carolina.
His hobbies were working on cars, fishing, and playing his harmonica. He was employed by Mount Hood Railroad for over 20 years.
Chester was married Aug. 19, 1965, to Jean Arlene Junker in White Salmon, Wash. Three daughters were born to this family, April, Arlene (deceased), and Susie. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He is survived by two daughters in Oregon and one sister in Lansing, N.C.
Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
