PEMBROKE, Ga. — Stephen Daniel Rogerson, 46, who has ties to the Mid-Columbia, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at Ogeechee Area Hospice, while surrounded by family.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served in Desert Storm in 1990 and 1991. He was a central office supervisor with Pembroke Telephone Company, where he was employed for 17 years.
He was a member of Pembroke Christian Church, where he served as a deacon and vice-chairman of the board. He was also a member of the VFW and American Legion Post 165.
He enjoyed woodworking, making stringed musical instruments and was an avid Georgia State University football fan.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Paula Clark Rogerson, Pembroke; son Mark Aaron Rogerson, Pembroke; father and step-mother Neil and Genny Rogerson, Molalla, Ore.; sister and brother-in-law Linda Cowart and Tim Landauer, Yamhill, Ore.; brothers and sisters-in-law Wade and Jennifer Rogerson, Portland, Ore.; William and Denise Devine, Memphis, Tenn.; and Robert and Heather Devine, Condon, Ore.; Creston Rogerson, Kennewick, Wash.; mother and father-in-law Marsha and B.J. Clark, Pembroke; brother-in-law Mike Clark, Savannah, Ga.; several cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Marie Milliken.
Visitation was Tuesday, Feb. 19, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home of Pembroke. Funeral service was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, in the chapel with Rev. Jim Sullivan officiating and military honors observed.
