Irene Mary Williams, 74, a resident of The Dalles, Ore., died Thursday, July 25, 2013, at the home of her close friends Frank and Nedra Faught of The Dalles.
She was born Dec. 4, 1938, in Beaver Dam, Wis., to Lawrence and Josephine (Moser) Heintz. A homemaker and farm wife, she raised her five children in Wisconsin.
She moved to Wamic, Ore., in 1993 where she was employed by the Pine Hollow golf course. She then became caregiver for Lenore Walters.
She was a member of the Barlow Gate Grange and the Wamic Historical Society. She enjoyed attending services at Wamic Community Church. She was a doll collector and loved to crochet, knit, craft and enjoyed finding yard sale treasures.
She is survived by her children Arthur Williams, Jr., Ft. Smith, Ark.; Jeffery Williams, Endeavor, Wis.; Leroy Williams, Howard City, Mich.; Ronald Williams, Wisconsin; and Marianne Williams Waller, Poynette, Wis.; brothers Harley, Larry and Lester; sisters Agnes, Diana and Sue; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her close friends Frank and Nedra Faught of The Dalles.
She was preceded in death by her brother Arthur and sister Sally.
At her request no service is planned.
