Rose Erickson Duerson, of Wasco, Oregon, passed peacefully in her sleep on May 19th, 2013. She was 85 years old.
She was born April 27, 1928 in Parkside Saskatchewan Canada to parents Amelia and Joseph Falk. She was seven of ten children. In December of 1949 she married Andrew Erickson. They had seven children.
They lived in several places in Canada & Montana before moving to Oregon in 1965. She was a homemaker, loved to bake, cook, dance and travel. She was also employed for the U.S. Postal service and Jack’s Fine Foods as a waitress and manager.
In August of 1987, she married Leo Duerson, together they enjoyed dancing, travel and visiting friends.
She is survived by her children Patrick Erickson (Beverly), Lloyd Erickson, Brian Erickson (Lavonne), Ruth Erickson, Wendy Erickson Swift (Ray), Alfred Erickson (Patti) and Robert Erickson, and many grand and great grand children. Also survived by her sisters Emma Black and Lil Huber, and brothers Slim & Leonard Falk.
She was preceded in death by parents Amelia and Joseph Falk, husbands Andrew Erickson and Leo Duerson, grandaughter Sarah Erickson, two sisters and three brothers.
At her request, no services will be held. Donations may be made in her name to Mid Columbia Senior Center.
