David Flores, Jr., 61, a resident of The Dalles, Ore., died Friday, June 7, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 23, 1951, in Los Angeles, Calif., to David and Beatrice (Frutos) Flores. He was raised and educated in Los Angeles. He resided in The Dalles for the past 15 years. He worked as a foreman at the Goldendale aluminum plant and enjoyed old cars, the Raiders and playing golf.
He is survived by his longtime life companion, Mary Flores, The Dalles, Ore.; sons Eric and David Flores, both of The Dalles; grandson Haze A. Flores, The Dalles; sisters Vivian Flores, Lancaster, Calif.; and Vicky Maldonado, Whittier, Calif.; sister-in-law Aurora Flores, Tualatin, Ore.; nieces and nephews Augustine Flores, Bend, Ore.; Angela Flores Sanchez, Longview, Wash.; Vincent Flores, Tucson, Ariz.; and Beatrice Flores, Los Angeles, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother William Flores.
Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday, June 12, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church.
