Cherry Kathleen Morris, 74, a resident of The Dalles, Ore., died Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at a local hospital.
She was born June 28, 1938, in Albion, Idaho, to Carl and Nita (Cherry) Gray. She was raised and educated in Idaho and Lexington, Ore., graduating from Lexington High School in 1957.
She moved to The Dalles in 1969 where she worked as a bookkeeper. In September 2001, she and Walter Morris were married in Payette, Idaho.
She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagle, Moose and Elks Lodge. She was an avid recipe collector and enjoyed gardening, camping, baking and candy making.
She is survived by her husband, Walter ‘Mouse’ Morris, The Dalles; brothers Wallace and Jerry Gray; daughters Donna Sherbondy and her husband Jay; and Sandra Hermann and her husband Brad; granddaughters Sarah Hermann, Katie Baker and Shannon Sherbondy; and great-grandchildren Romeo, Andrew, Harmony and Christopher Jr.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, June 26, at 2 p.m. at the I.O.O.F. Threemile Cemetery.
Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
