Edwina "Bunny" Breshears Richelderfer, of The Dalles, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at her son's home in Wasco, Ore. She was 88.
Bunny was born May 21, 1925, in Lexington, Ore., the youngest of four daughters of Emma and Charles Breshears. She married Douglas Gibson in 1942. After his death, she later married Malcolm Richelderfer in 1952. Bunny was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Altar Society, League of Women Voters, Home Extension, was past president of District 11 VFW Auxiliary and was past state commander of Oregon Navy Mothers.
A longtime resident of The Dalles, Bunny had eight children, Georgia (Gibson) Benson, Charles Gibson, Sally (Gibson) Groce, Michael Gibson, Paul Gibson, Martin Richelderfer, Mary (Richelderfer) Zachariesen and Brian Richelderfer.
Bunny is survived by her sister Helen Crump, daughters Georgia and Mary, sons Charles, Paul and Martin, 18 grand-children and 28 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Marie Steagall and Vera Steagall, two husbands, Doug Gibson and Malcolm Richelderfer, daughter Sally and sons Michael and Brian.
Cremation services are under the care of Spencer, Libby & Powell in The Dalles.
A Rosary is planned for 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at St. Peter's Catholic Church.
Funeral services are planned for 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at St. Peter's church, with a luncheon to follow.
