Annabelle A. Vogel, 93, a longtime resident of The Dalles, died Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at her home in The Dalles, Ore.
She was born Oct. 14, 1919, in Dinney, Ore., the oldest of two children to Ebon and Meda Tatro. They moved to Lakeview, Ore., when she was a small child. She graduated in 1938 from Lakeview High School. After graduation from high school, she went on to nursing school, from which she also graduated.
She practiced nursing and worked for many years at The Dalles Clinic. She enjoyed traveling and fishing with her late husband, “Bob,” for many years.
She is survived by nephew Doug Tatro, niece Tanis Tatro, and close friends Michal and Barbara Coston and Diane Webb, and many other friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Lloyd Tatro, nephew Edwin Tatro and her husband of 62 years, Robert “Bob” Vogel, The Dalles, Ore., whom she married Aug. 4, 1942, in Lakeview, Ore.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Spencer Libby and Powell Funeral Home. Mausoleum entombment will follow at the Cherry Heights Odd Fellows Cemetery.
