Carolyn L. Rhinehart, 67, a resident of Wasco, Ore., died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
She was born July 17, 1946, in Kansas City, Mo., to Wallace and Verna (Ingels) Ladd. She was raised and educated in Grandview, Mo., and came to Oregon in 1969. On July 18, 1971, she and Douglas Rhinehart were married at the Wasco Church of Christ.
She was a member of The Wasco Church of Christ, was active with CASA for children, the Sherman County Red Cross Blood Drive and the Red Cross Swim Program for many years. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Rebeka Lodge and the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, bowling, gardening and flowers, sewing, cake decorating and various crafts.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Doug Rhinehart, Wasco, Ore.; sons Chris and his wife LynAnn, and Terry and his children Hannah and Avery; her sister Linda Gilbreath and her husband Lynn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the Wasco Grade School Gymnasium. Interment will follow at Wasco Sunrise Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.
