Audrey Lee Gannon, 90, a resident of The Dalles, died at a local care facility on Monday, August 25, 2014.
She was born on February 3, 1924 in Hill City, Kansas the second of three children to Hazel Anola (Teeter) and Joseph Williams, being raised in Kansas, Idaho and California.
Audrey met James Olin Gannon and they married in San Bernadino, California on May 27, 1940. She worked as a grocery store clerk while living in California and Oregon. Audrey loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren along with camping and fishing in her younger years.
Audrey is survived by her daughter, Glenda Rosa and her husband Len; six grandchildren, Jamie, Jeff and Bradley Gannon, Leah Childers, John Badger and Lainie Heisler, who was her loving caregiver in her later years. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James in 1969, her daughter, Sandra Anola in 2002 and her son, James Leland in 2003.
Private cremation was held at Win-Quatt Crematory with Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements. There will be a family gathering at a later date.
