Linda Diane Sanders Newton of Oregon City passed away on Dec. 7 in Oregon City.
Daughter of Arthur Sanders and Nadine Brentlinger Sanders, Linda graduated from The Dalles
high School in 1954. Shortly after, she married Jerry Frazer. The couple had one daughter, Francie. Later in life, Linda married Norman Newton. Linda worked for US Bank in both The Dalles and Portland for 40 years, retiring as a branch manager. An active member of her church, Park Place Evangelical Church in Oregon City, she was a staunch participant in a wide variety of faith-related activities.
Linda was also the coordinator of the Oregon Food Bank distribution at her church, and she often made craft items for the annual Holiday Fair.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her ex-husband, Jerry Frazer. She is survived by her husband Norm and daughter Francie of Oregon City; stepdaughter Teresa England, and husband, Sherman; step-grandchildren Kelly and Mark England of Buena Park, Calif.; and her sisters, Susan Ford of Pendleton and Nancy Gunter of Vancouver, Wa.There will be an informal scattering of her ashes in the Spring of 2015, and a private memorial service
will be held at a later date.
