Patricia “Pat” Ferguson

The Dalles, Ore.

October 22, 1941 - January 10, 2014

Patricia ‘Pat’ Ferguson, the oldest of thirteen children succumbed to her long battle with cancer on January 10th, 2014 at her home in The Dalles, Ore. She was 72 years old. Her parents were Tom and Wanda Gimlin. She grew up in Carlinville, Ill, and attended Carlinville HS. She married Bill Ferguson on January 25, 1957 in Louisville, Ill. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on September 14th, 1968 and was a long term member of the local congregation in The Dalles, Or. After raising five children, she became a general contractor. Pat had many hobbies, she had a passion for music and loved to play the piano. She also enjoyed art, crafts, painting, traveling, the beach and camping. She was very generous in helping others and was very loved, she will be missed. Pat is survived by her mother Wanda Lambert of Carlinville, Ill., her husband Bill Ferguson of The Dalles, Or., her sons Timothy (Trisha) and Toby (Rose) Ferguson both of Or. She had three daughters, Patricia, (Steve) Barnes of Wa., Billie Wanda (Tony) Kuenzi of Or., and Katie (Jacob) Sobelman of Fl. She is survived by her brother Bruce (Sharon) Evans of Ill. She had many sisters, Sandy (Jim) Parsons of Or., as well as Cheryl (Danny) Dunham of Fl. Most of her sisters are from Ill., Pam (Ronnie) Freytag, Kris McDaniels, Michelle Babcock, and Audrey (Ray) Wright. One stepbrother is from NY., Jerry (Donna) Lambert. There are three stepsisters, all of Ill., Sue Ann (Bill) Costello, Sandy (Karl) Judd, and Glea (Gary) Bloom. She was truly blessed with eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Pat was preceded in death by her beloved stepfather Harold Evans, her brother Tommy Gimlin and stepbrother Rex Lambert.
A memorial service is planned for January 18, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 2500 West 8th Street The Dalles, Oregon.
