Ann Magdalena Strafford died at Mid Columbia Medical Center hospital on October 29, 2013. She was born March 28, 1922 to Vincent Noga and Magdalena Pfeifer.
She lived her last 5 years at Mill Creek Living in The Dalles. She had a wonderful staff that took care of her. The nursing staff and especially Shawn were among her favorites.
Ann was raised around bakeries and her family ran one in the Tacoma Washington area. Ann was a waitress and cook for many years, she started at Johnny’s café and also worked at The Dalles
Country Club as a cook, she was also a cook at Ole’s Supper Club and worked for Ross Bailey until her retirement.
Her hobbies included; reading, audio books, dancing, the outdoors and cooking. She enjoyed every holiday, it was always a party where all the family and friends got together and enjoyed her
excellent cooking.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Elbridge Gerry Strafford; sons, Craig C. Corpe and Michael Corpe, and granddaughter Stacey M. Morris. She is survived by her daughters: Garie Anne Strafford (Taylor) and husband Bernie of Kent, Washington, her daughter, Billie Ann Bishop of California, Cheryl M. Strafford (Zarins) and husband Martin of Renton, Washington, and her son Donald Wink of Spring Creek, Nevada, Dorene J. Strafford (Brown) and husband Robert Brown of The Dalles, Oregon, and her sons Jeff Morris, The Dalles, Oregon and Joey Morris, Marysville, Washington, and her deceased daughter, Stacey Morris, who passed away June 2012.
She is survived by sons, Jack Strafford and wife Carol of The Dalles, his sons Vincent Strafford, Portland, Oregon and Eddy Strafford Washington area, Joseph Sydney Strafford and his late wife Chris, The Dalles, Oregon,William Strafford and wife Jean, Juneau, Alaska and his daughters; Dana Mee-Hiatt of Washington DC, Irene Strafford, Portland, Oregon, Katrina Strafford, John Strafford, Portland, Oregon and Gary Nickolas Strafford, Eugene, Oregon, Richard Strafford and wife Karen of Medford, Oregon and son Aaron Strafford and daughter, Kristina. Ann had 17 grandkids and 27 great-grandkids.
Ann will be buried at Lopez Island, Washington next to late husband Elbridge Gerry Strafford.
