Sylvia Marie Zachary-Craft was born February 25, 1939 in The Dalles to Marie (Metter) and Kenneth Zachary. She passed away September 9, 2013 in The Dalles.
Sylvia graduated from Sherman High School in Moro and married Gerald Alderman in 1959. They had two children before moving from Moro to Salem. Three more children soon came along.
Sylvia followed her dream and moved back to Moro in 1980, and in 1991 she married Darrell Craft in Wasco. They lived in Moro, and Sylvia worked in Sherman County tending to the elderly.
She loved walking on the beach. She lived to garden, and spend time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Darrell, sons Scott, Terry, and Phillip, daughters Karla and Kelly, son-in-law Rick, sister Pat Bourdeau, brother Mike Zachary, and grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Sandy who died in 2010, and her brother-in-law Glen who died in 2008.
Memorials can be made to the Sherman County Athletic Foundation and Sherman County Senior and Community Center in lieu of flowers.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Sherman County Senior and Community Center, 300 Dewey Street, Moro, OR, on June 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.
