Alice Adele Kerr, a resident of The Dalles, Oregon died at home Tuesday, March 18, 2014. She was 94 years of age.
Alice was born February 2, 1920 in Fresno, California, the second of three children to Raymond and Myrtle (Short) Gilkey. She was raised and educated in Corcoran, California, graduating from Corcoran High School. She also attended business school and flight school. Alice was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a proud member of the Republican Party. She enjoyed flying airplanes and traveling.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband David D. Kerr.
She is survived by her daughters, Gayle Marquez and her husband Frank of Pine Hollow, Oregon; Marsha Carter of Payette, Idaho and Bonnie Torrez of San Jose, California. Ten grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren also survive.
Services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 at noon at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home.
