Kathryn Elaine Cantwell was born on October 7, 1949 in Paradise, California to Elmer and Margaret Evelyn Cantwell. She graduated from Mckinleyville High School, Mckinleyville, California in 1968. She married Larry L. Bennett in The Dalles, Oregon on January 4, 2003. Mrs. Bennett was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in The Dalles and she loved flower gardening. Kathryn passed away at her home in Dallesport, Washington on September 30, 2014 at the age of 64 surrounded by her loving family and is now with Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior. She is survived by her husband Larry; brother in law Doug Fectner of Port Angeles, WA, sisters Vicky (Glenn) Dillingham of Carson, WA, Mandy Cantwell of Forks, WA, and Donna (Joe) Jacobson, of Port Angeles Wa; brothers Albert (Terry) Cantwell of Arizona, daughter Margaret (Cory) Randall of Lyle, WA, granddaughters Jasmine Randall of Lyle, Kori Ann (Michael) Illingworth of Federal Way, WA and Becky Miller Randall of Lyle; stepson Dale Baumgarden of The Dalles; stepdaughters Donna Trueax of Redmond, OR and Dianna (Scott) Greenfield of The Dalles; step-grandchildren Danny (Sarah) Trueax, Drake (Michelle) Trueax, Cherr’ee (Mike) Ferrell, Johnny Joe Catland, Shelley Catland, Joseph Trueax and Wendy (Adam) Miller; step-great grandchildren Hunter Trueax, Jake & Gabe Ferrell, Joshua Trueax and Mathew and Rose Miller; sister-in-law Carol Cantwell; and step son-in-law Michael Cook. She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Margaret Evelyn Cantwell; brother John Cantwell; sister Patricia Fectner nephew Wayne Hopkins; grandson Cory Randall, Jr.; mother-in-law Easter Bennett; stepdaughter Jeannie Cook; and step son-in-law Russ Trueax.
A memorial service will be held on at Bethany Lutheran Church, 2323 East 12th St.,The Dalles Oregon on Saturday, October 11 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jesse Jacobsen officiating.
The Mary Martha Circle of Bethany Lutheran Church will provide refreshments at Bethany following Memorial Services and all are invited. In leiu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the “Bethany Building Fund”, Heart of Hospice 2621 Wasco St. Hood River Or. 97031, or their favorite charity. Gardner Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
