Veta L. Bingman, 68, a resident of The Dalles, Oregon died at home October 17, 2014.
Veta was born April 16, 1946 in Weiser, Idaho. She graduated from Huntington High School and attended Treasure Valley Community College and OTI.
On June 20, 1970 she and Gerald Bingman were married. They settled in The Dalles where she worked at The Dalles Clinic and at Nelson, Rooper and Onstott as their receptionist.
She owned the Spillway Tavern and later the Windseeker, which she has loved for a long time.
Veta was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, grandmothers and a brother.
She is survived by daughters Tiffanie Black (Lawrence) and Teddi, son Ty, granddaughter Libby and sister Thomasina Spelman (Curt).
Veta enjoyed cooking, cookbooks, sudoku, movies, kayaking, the beach, puzzles, camping, her restaurant, being with her family and friends and playing with her Libby, the granddaughter she adores to infinity and back.
Veta was an angel among us. Loving all with her kind heart and quiet grace.
Services were held Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home.
