Earnest Garrison, 84, passed away April 14, 2015 at the Oregon Veterans Home in The Dalles with his son Perry by his side. Earnest was born May 22, 1930 to Jerry William & Nellie Karrick Garrison in Carlinville, Ill. He joined the US Air Force at age 18 and served from 1948 to 1951 in Japan. In 1953, Earnest met and married Grace McWhirter. They later divorced in 1974. He spent most of his life working in the construction business. His hobbies include fishing, going to hunting camp with his sons, enjoyed working at his auto shop for many years in Girard, Ill.
He is survived by daughter Catherine Beach and husband Larry, son Perry Garrison, daughter June Addington and husband Steve, and like a daughter, Shirley Ringlbauer and husband John. Nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, sisters Peachy James, Loriane Conway. Nephew Jerry Rainey and wife Cheryl. He was preceded in death by his parents, step father Stoke Fones, infant twin daughters Karen and Sharon Garrison, son Ronald Garrison, 7 brothers and 2 sisters and his long time companion Pam Ham. At his request there will be no service.
