George Robert "Bob" Alexander, a resident of Dufur, passed away due to complications from cancer on December 2, 2015 at the Mid Columbia Medical Center.
Bob was born on February 21, 1951 in The Dalles. He was the oldest of three children to George Alexander and Bernice (Johns) Alexander and was raised in Pine Grove, Ore. He attended local schools and graduated from Maupin High School in 1969.
Bob had many careers through his life, but enjoyed his work raising pheasants and running his small business of Canyon Creek Game Farm & Outdoors. His love for the outdoors, camaraderie of working with fellow hunters, his dogs and old cars were very important to him.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brother James, and half-sister Jean Eckert. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Ruth Alexander, his son, Jasen Alexander and his wife, Jamie Alexander, one granddaughter, Chloe Ann Alexander, and Bob's sister, Doris Alexander.
Memorial services will be at the Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home in The Dalles on Wednesday, December 9 at 1 p.m. In his memory, contributions can be made to the Dufur Ambulance Fund.
