Cecil Lavern Odom U.S. Veteran

Murdock, Wa.

February 3, 1929 - December 29, 2014

Cecil Lavern Odom was born to John Marvin and Myrtle Ivy (Lease) Odom at Largo, Florida on February 3, 1929. He passed away at his home in Murdock, Washington on December 29, 2014 at the age of 85.
Cecil was raised in Florida then joined the United States Air Force and moved to Spokane, Washington. On February 17, 1950 he married Lorraine Belle Carter in Walla Walla, Washington. Mr. Odom loved the outdoors, fishing, panning for gold, hunting and vegetable gardening. His greatest joy, however, was his family and time spent with them. Cecil was a member of the Lyle Celebration Center in Lyle, Washington.
Mr. Odom is survived by his wife Lorraine of Murdock; children Caren Buffum and Danny Odom both of Murdock and Larry Odom of Wyoming; eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at the Lyle Celebration Center on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 2:30pm with private interment at the White Salmon Cemetery. Gardner Funeral Home handled arrangements. To sign the online guestbook, please visit www.gardnerfh.com.
