John Curtiss died at home on December 10th 2014 after a long battle with emphysema.
John enjoyed reading, his coffee and his Diet Pepsi, listening to music, watching football, driving his vehicles, and he loved going to the beach. He was a proud Vietnam veteran and a retiree of Northwest Aluminum.
John was preceded in death by his daughter Elizabeth Elaine Curtiss, his sister Barbara Murillo, and his parents Ruth and Ken Curtiss. He is survived by his children; Daniel Glenn Curtiss and his wife Darcy, and Stephanie Kay (Curtiss) Stone; Grandchildren Derek John Stone, Kenneth Jordan Curtiss, and Caelen Alexander Curtiss; Nieces Angelina Molina, Charlene Carson, Deana Henderson, and Tammy Zarate; his brothers; Stephen Curtiss and his wife Martha, and Allen Curtiss and his wife Pamela, his Uncle Bill Barker and his wife Lucille, and John's cousin Skip Hobbs, who was his childhood pal. He is survived by close friend, Darlene Caldwell.
A private funeral was held at Spencer, Libby & Powell, and burial with military honors took place at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
