John Franklin Sullivan, 88, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015 at Cherry Heights Living in The Dalles, Ore. John was born August 10, 1926 in Salmon, Idaho to Roland and Eleanor (Bartl) Sullivan.
On February 18, 1961 John married Naomi “Nikki” (Fitzgerald) Sullivan in Stevenson, Wash. Together they had eight children: John Fredrick, Anita, Sandra, Ron, Carol, Kitty, Sandy and Ken.
John served in the United States Army WWII. He enjoyed spending his time fishing, camping and had an interest for radios.
John was preceded in death by; his son John Fredrick; parents Roland and Eleanor; sisters Ila Lolley and June Reed; and brother Orland Sullivan.
John is survived by; his wife, Nikki Sullivan; children Anita (Floyd) Heiser, Sandra Glasow, Carol (Walt) Pope, Kitty (Mike) Filbin, Sandy Crawford, Ron (Karen) Sullivan and Ken Crawford. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A Graveside service is planned for 10 a.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Idlewilde Cemetery (980 Tucker Road, Hood River, Oregon). Memorials are encouraged to be made to Heart of Hospice or Celilo Center For Cancer Care.
