I served in the 39th and Col. George Ruddell was the commander. We stayed in the same housing unit. I was on one end and he was on the other. This man was a great leader and an outstanding pilot. I am honored to have served with him . I used to call him up just to hear his voice as I almost shot him down once. I am also glad to see that he lived a long full life. The best to his family and Rest in Peace Colonel! Captain James E. Sutton
