Sharon Kaye (Parmenter) Cassidy passed away peacefully Sunday evening, March 1, 2015 at the age of 69, under the care of Hospice, her husband, church members, mother and sister by her side. Sharon was born January 11, 1946, to Ted and Bernice (Bunny) Parmenter in Effingham, Illinois. Her father Ted was a fighter pilot during WWII. She and her mother moved to Portland, Oregon to be close to him. Sharon was a member of the Coquille Oregon High School 1964 graduating class.
She met Joe C. (Carl) Cassidy in 1983 and they were married in 1987. She was preceded in death by her father, son Ted, and a daughter Angela at birth. She is survived by her mother Bunny, sister Jane, daughter Janet Holmes (Kent), granddaughter Ashley, grandsons Jeff and Levi, great grandson Garret and her husband Joe of 27 years. She will be missed by uncles, aunts, cousins, and anyone who has ever met her. She was as her name implied, a true princess. Her beautiful eyes and smile would light up any room. She fought a valiant battle against injury and illness during the past fifteen years, never once complaining.
Sharon was a Christian of strong faith and is now healed and will never again feel pain.
Funeral Services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 3350 Columbia View Drive, The Dalles, Oregon on March 21, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Friends, family, church members, all are welcome to this celebration of life and her passage to heaven.
