Georgia Aileen Nisbet, 88, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by family, on May 5, 2015.
Aileen was raised in Morrow County, Ore., then moved to and attended high school in Wasco, Ore., where she met and married Gerald (Pinky) Nisbet in 1947. They made Wasco their home where they raised their four children and enjoyed 58 years of marriage before Pinky passed away in 2004.
Aileen was a homemaker devoted to her family and was loved by many. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends. She enjoyed sewing, making quilts and reading. She was a member of the Wasco United Methodist Church and the Women of the Moose of The Dalles.
Aileen was preceded in death by her husband Pinky, her parents Ralph and Elma Scott of Heppner, Ore., her sisters Erma Scott of Kennewick, Wash., and Doris Davis of Pendleton, Ore., and her brother Bill Scott of Heppner, Ore. She is survived by her daughter Shari and George Gritz of Hermiston, Ore., daughter Ellen and Gary Fisher of Beaverton, Ore., son Bill and Joanne Nisbet of Bend, Ore., and son Bob and RuthAnn Nisbet of Bend, Ore., ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and her special friend Dewey Thomas of Wasco.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Wasco Methodist Church on May 16, 2015 at 1:00 PM. Pastor Bob Reasoner officiating. A graveside service will follow at Wasco Sunrise Cemetery.
