James Robert Tatum was born February 13, 1947, in The Dalles, Ore., and passed away November 18, 2015 in Shoreline Wash. He moved to Seattle in 1978 and lived in the Bothell, Redmond and Kirkland areas. Jim served our country on the U.S.S. Cavalier as a radar man during the Viet Nam war. Jim owned Surrey North Auto Repair in Bellevue, Wash., for 20 years. He was married for 34 years to Barbara Tatum.
Jim was happiest on his family ranch in Oregon hunting deer, and fishing off his boat in Washington. He is survived by his son, Devan Tatum; his mom, Geraldine Tatum (92 years old); his sister, Bonnie Shupe and his brother Bill Tatum. He will be buried in the family plot in Kent, Ore. A private family service will be held in The Dalles, Ore.
