W. “Billie” Jean Linder, 80, a resident of The Dalles, Ore., passed away surrounded by family October 4, 2015.
She was born on April 29, 1935 in Grand Junction, Colo., to James and Genevieve (Olson) Kirkpatrick. Billie worked as a medical technologist for many years before she and her husband Charles J. Linder started Sundown Enterprises, a manufacturer sales representative company for the tourist industry. They were traveling sales representatives and enjoyed many miles and years on the road together. After Charles passed away in 2003, Billie continued to travel in the business until 2012 when because of health reasons, she closed the business.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles J. Linder and a son and daughter in law Robert and Cathe Linder.
She leaves behind a son and daughter-in-law Jerry Linder and Katherine Peterson of Sandy, Utah; a daughter and son-in-law Gayle and Michael Clark of The Dalles, Ore.; a daughter Brenda Nite of Houston, Texas; two brothers Jim Kirkpatrick of Grand Junction, Colo., and Melvin Zimmerman of Spokane, Wash. She also leaves seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 1 p.m. at The Dalles Eagles Lodge.
Graveside service will be held Monday, October 12, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Willamette National Cemetery.
