Following a battle with health issues, Jim passed away on February 5th, 2016 at home, with his companion Roxanne Klaviter by his side.
Jim was born to James "Buster" Routh and Linda (Conner) Routh on March 16th, 1972 at The Dalles General Hospital.
He was a precocious child with an adventurous spirit.
He grew up in Maupin, Oregon where he participated in many school activities and sports. He had a passion and natural talent for baseball and played on many local teams throughout high school. He graduated in 1990.
He married Jennifer Filbin on April 30th, 1994. They had two wonderful children, Michael and Emily.
They resided in Dufur, Oregon. He worked briefly in the timber industry, and for many years as a service technician in the tire industry.
He loved spending time with his children and family and he was happiest when he was outdoors. He enjoyed camping, fishing, rafting, hunting and mushroom picking.
He was preceded in death by his father, Buster, in 1996.
He is survived by his children Michael and Emily Routh (The Dalles), parents Paul and Linda Lepinski (The Dalles), sister Susan and brother-in-law Dustin Watkins (The Dalles), a niece Brittany Watkins (La Grande); and much extended family, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
His family and friends will forever miss his kind heart, wonderful smile, and witty sense of humor.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Eagles Lodge in The Dalles on March 26th at 1:00 pm.
