Dorothy M. “Mee” Dayley passed away on January 13, 2016 at OHSU in Portland Oregon at the age of 77 from an extended illness.
Dorothy was born on December 26, 1938 in Wasco, Oregon to Joseph A. and Gertrude M. “Huck” Mee. She moved to The Dalles when she was three. She attended school at Court Street School in The Dalles and the Dalles Junior High.
Dorothy met and married Darold D. Dayley on November 24, 1961.
Dorothy work for Newspapers as her career and was with The Dalles Chronicle for 1960-1972 and the La Grande Observer from 1974-1996.
Dorothy was a member of the First Christian Church in The Dalles, Oregon and also F. O. of Eagles #259 auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughter Laura Elizondo, The Dalles and sons Lonnie and Clifford Dayley of La Grande, Oregon and her siblings Norman, Gordon, Donna Hackler, Mary Batty, Dora Mee all of The Dalles.
She was proceeded in death by her Mother, Father, Brothers; Joseph W. and Donald W., Robert A. and an infant son Curtis, as well as her husband Darold D. Dayley.
At her request no funeral or memorial services were held.
