Charlotte Ann (Gilroy) Sanchey of Klickitat, Wash., passed away peacefully on March 5, 2016, in her home. She was born on July 26, 1934, to Leo and Glendora (Cook) Gilroy, in Spaulding, Neb., and eight years later they moved to the Yakima Valley. She graduated from White Swan High School in 1954 and completed beauty school in 1955. Shortly after, on February 14, 1956 Charlotte married her love, George P. Sanchey. As newlyweds, the pair traveled all over the Pacific Northwest before settling in Klickitat, Wash., in 1966, where they lived and raised 7 children.
Charlotte is survived by her brother John (Delma) Gilroy of Amanda Park, her children George (Jeri Lynn) Sanchey of Klickitat, Donada G. (James) Berry of Selah, Florence S. (Michael) Watkins of Harrah, Dawn L. Sanchey of Parkdale, GilRoy (Carolyn) Sanchey of Klickitat, 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George P. Sanchey, parents, Leo Edward and Glendora Manetta Gilroy, her brother, Patrick Leo Gilroy, sister, Nellie Mae (Gilroy) Stankwitz, daughter, Karla Kay Sanchey, son, G. L. Sanchey, grandchildren, Jason Brandon Sanchey and great-grandchildren Amya Madison Watkins and Travis Huckleberry Young.
