Mary “Jane” Stinson peacefully passed away October 21, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jane was born on July 14, 1935 at her Grandmother Dalton’s home in Pleasanton, Kan.
As a very young child Jane along with her sister Cora and mother traveled by train to Washington, where they settled in the Nile Valley. Jane attended the Naches schools.
In 1952 Jane married Keith Casady, they resided in Ellensburg Canyon when their daughter Karon Casady was born. The family relocated to Soap Lake, Wash., and welcomed their two sons, Flint and Wade Casady.
The family later settled in The Dalles where Jane worked as a bookkeeper for Ray Schultens Ford. She married Stan Stinson in 1982.
Jane was preceded in death by her first born granddaughter, Cori Chudek. Jane is survived by her devoted caregiver, best friend, her daughter Karon Osborne, her two sons Flint and wife Michelle Casady, Wade and wife Renee Casady, her sister Cora Lesser and sister-in-law Caprice Lovewell; grandchildren Sara Wilden, Whisper Casady, Marsha Christianson, Cole and Cassie Casady, Toby and Josh Casady, taylor and Matthew Chudek, Sergio Sedano. Jane was also blessed with 12 great-grandchildren. Jane’s constant companion, her dog Snoopy, continues to watch out the window for her return.
Services will be held Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 2819 W 10th St., The Dalles.
