Billie Jean Conner, 82, went home, peacefully, to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday afternoon, September 27, 2016 at her daughter’s home in Manhattan, Mont. She was born October 16, 1933 in Duchene, Utah to the late Lee D. and Reva (Young) Tanner.
Billie Jean married Donald Lee Miller in 1951 in Hood River, Ore. They had three children, LaDonna (Doug) Castle of Sandy, Ore.; Renee (Lee) Huyser of Manhattan, Mont., and Chad (Susan) Miller of Snohomish, Wash. Following the death of Donald she married David H. Conner Sr. in 1959 and had three more children: David (Nida) Conner Jr. of Kalispell, Mont., Crystal Conner of The Dalles, Ore., and Joleen (George) Barce of Rollins, Mont. David Sr. passed away in 1999.
Billie Jean was known as “Grandma B” to her 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
She is survived by all her children and grandchildren, four of her 8 siblings, Elaine Nickell and Ida Calmer of Oregon, Wilford Tanner of Washington, and Wendell Tanner of Kentucky.
Billie Jean was known for her good cooking and beautiful artwork. Everything she did was with excellence.
A viewing will be held at noon on Saturday, Oct. 8, followed by a funeral at 3:30 p.m. at Gresham Memorial Chapel in Gresham, Ore.
