Phyllis Ann Ronfeld, age 85, peacefully passed away November 28, 2018, with her family by her side. Phyllis was born December 28, 1932 to Ernest and Ethel Cramer in The Dalles, Oregon.
The Dalles was her home for her entire life, except for the time at Oregon State University and teaching for a few years in Hood River. Phyllis was active in Zion Lutheran Church, which she attended since childhood. She was the church organist for 70 years but also played for many weddings and funerals in the community. She enjoyed attending or listening to Oregon State University sports.
Phyllis is survived by George, her husband of 62 years; daughter Diane (Steve) of Corvallis, Ore.; son Steve (Marilyn) of The Dalles. She loved her family very much.
Phyllis lived a life of love, generosity and faith. As George says, “she was a very wonderful person,” and I will miss her dearly. Though she is in heaven she will live in our hearts forever.
A private graveside service was held for close family members. Remembrances in honor of Phyllis may be given to Zion Lutheran Church Memorial Fund in The Dalles.
