Susan Kay Moretto Billette was born on Aug. 20, 1959, in Blue Field, W. Va., to Thelma (Hedrick) and Mito Moretto. After a two-year battle with ALS, she passed away at her home in Lyle, Wash., on July 14, 2018, surrounded by her loved ones, at the age of 58.
Susan married Joseph Leon Billette in White Salmon, Wash., on Aug. 31, 1979. For 33 years she worked for Wasco County Circuit Court, retiring in 2011. Mrs. Billette was a member of T.O.P.S./K.O.P.S., Mid-Columbia Car Club, the Eagles Lodge and Columbia Gorge Runners. She loved keeping active by running, doing obstacle courses, mud running and going on walks and hikes. She also enjoyed photography and just loved living life.
She is survived by husband Joe Billette of Lyle; daughters, Heidi Bodolay (Joe) of Dallesport, Wash., and Sarah Billette of Redmond, Ore.; stepdaughter Jacque Billette of St. Ignatius, Mont.; mother and stepfather Thelma and John Keesee of Pe Ell, Wash.; brothers, Thomas Moretto (Regina) of Fort Mill, S.C., John Moretto of Tazewell, Va. and Michael Moretto (Susie) of Spokane, Wash.; soul sister Dottie Truelove of Stevenson, Wash.; and eight grandchildren.
