Don was a member of The Dalles High School Class of 1959 but, in June of 1958 he joined the United States Marine Corps early and served in the Vietnam War.
He was a member of The Dalles Junior Chamber of Commerce and chair of the seat belt clinic in 1962-and that is how he met his wife, Ginger.
He also loved police work, serving in Wasco and Multnomah counties. He loved the outdoors: hunting, fishing and camping. He loved his extended family, computer, music and most of all his Lord!!
He was the first of six siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Ginger of more than 55 years; brother, Tony of Milwaukie, Ore.; brother, Phil of Germany; sister, Lana of Pasco, Wash., sister, Judy of Portland, Ore.; Tammy of Oregon City, Ore; daughter, Wendy and son-in-law, Roger Reardon The Dalles, Ore.; daughter, Shelly Calif.; five granddaughters, Crystal, Amber, Desi, Cassidy, Ashley; seven great-grandchildren, Timmy, Stephen, Kylee, Keagen, Sylas, Sienna and Adam.
