THE KEN WEBB Memorial Kitchen was completed in time for The Dalles Elks Lodge 303 to serve crowds of fair-goers at this year’s Wasco County Fair in Tygh Valley. The project was completed through gifts of time and materials by several local businesses, including DevCo Mechanical and Plumbing, Cascade Propane, Hage Electric and Two Dogs Plumbing, along with cash donations received through the work of the Ford Family Foundation and the Webb family. With the help of volunteers, the kitchen’s completion will serve Hunt Park and the county fair for years to come. The facility will also be rented to large groups of campers to prepare their meals. Pictured at the kitchen during the fair are, back row, from left: Galen May, Elks Lodge; Wasco County Administrator Tyler Stone; Gary Hage, Hage Electric; Zack Hervey, fair board; Michael Hunt, fair board; front row, from left: Don Smith, Elks Lodge; Jason Hage, Hage Electric; Ken Polehn, fair board; Robert May, Two Dogs Plumbing.
