A sea lion trap rests on a float at The Dalles Marina. Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife officials hope to remove several California sea lions that have taken up residence in the Columbia River between Bonneville and The Dalles dams. The new trap was built and deployed at the request of the four Columbia River Treaty Tribes who fish above Bonneville Dam. The tribes have been reporting damage from the California Sea Lions for nearly three years.
