Photo detail

The Dalles Lions Club members, working with The Dalles Disposal, will be picking up Christmas trees Saturday, Jan. 11, for disposal. Disposal donations will raise money to support various services and projects of The Dalles Lions Club. The program started in 1973, raising $2,600 last year and $64,000 since 1973. To dispose of your tree, simply leave it at the curb by 9 a.m. Lion’s Club members will knock on doors to ask for donations, or leave a donation envelope when occupants aren’t home. Pictured, left to right, are program founder Bill Hamilton of The Lions Club and The Dalles Disposal drivers Rusty Johnson, Rocky Linebarger, Robert Shuman, Ken Hageman and Nick Loudd.
