A hiker crosses a wooden trail bridge over Cold Springs Creek. This mountain creek is located high on Mount Hood and the trail leads to a waterfall, a great place to cool down when temperatures in the gorge get high.

The one thing that I don’t deal very well with is heat and it looks like thermometers in The Dalles will be in the triple digits through July 4. And that makes me cranky.
