FIFTY FIVE workers from Hoffman Construction of Portland have been laboring on the Fort Dalles Readiness Center for more than one year without an accident or workman’s compensation claim being filed. The safety record of the company has led to lower insurance and bond rates, which has allowed more public funding to be put into the project.
