MAUPIN RANCHER Keith Nantz and his horse “Dude,” top, enjoy a sunrise near his home before getting to work moving cows on a cold January day.
KEITH NANTZ checks the hoof of his horse “Dude” before taking off for a day of rounding up cows on the Oak Springs Road ranch.
NANTZ WALKS cows into stock pens for inoculation and branding, another day of hard work in the life of a cowboy.
A SQUEEZE CHUTE keeps calves still while Nantz is branding.

A cowboy and his horse head head out of the barn for a long day of working cows.
Wow! These pictures just fill my eyes. I love the feel you've caught in them. I can almost feel the stillness in the air, the sounds of the ranch as work is done. That first photo with Mt. Hood in the background is just stunning.
