Jackie~ I agree with you 100% on safety being a priority for our children. I think people are missing the point here. Did you drive on the roads that morning or the last morning they made school two hours late? They were very clear. I am very appreciative when the schools take time to investigate the roads and make a good, safe decision on weather our children should be hauled around on the roads per the condition of them, however, my problem is delaying school when there is NO REASON to delay school.
For me personally, the inconvenience of school being on late start is really not that bad since my I can just take my daughter to my office in the morning until it's time to take her to school. However, I was speaking for not only myself, but other frustrated parents who have expressed their opinion to me. ALWAYS SAFETY FIRST! If the roads were bad, just like most parents, I wouldn't want my children on them, but the roads on the last 2 days school was delayed, they simply weren't bad.

However, I was speaking for not only myself, but other frustrated parents who have expressed their opinion to me. I don't use school as a daycare, I spend every possible moment with my daughter, even coaching her sports. ALWAYS SAFETY FIRST! If the roads were bad, just like most parents, I wouldn't want my children on them, but the roads on the last 2 days school was delayed, they simply weren't bad. And the decision, according to the schools website, was made at 4am. A little premature in my opinion. Tonya
