For a few weeks this spring I set up an aquarium on the banks of a local stream, with stream flow through the aquarium using two siphon hoses. I added several tiny trout, including a small fingerling that ventured into a crawfish trap nearby, and a sculpin.
These photographs were taken through the side glass of the aquarium, with an umbrella cloth behind the camera to reduce reflections. A flash was placed above the aquarium, pointing down at a slight angle away from the glass. Flash exposure was automatic.
