Amber Tilton honored

Amber Tilton, center, US Army Corps of Engineers Park Ranger based in The Dalles, was recently honored with a national agency award in Washington D.C. She is the 24th recipient of the Hiram M. Chittenden Award for Interpretive Excellence; an educator’s award for distinguished achievements in her field. Tilton has worked at The Dalles Lock and Dam for the past 12 years, providing educational tours of the dam, bringing special events to the community like the annual Eagle Watch, and working in local schools doing classroom water safety programs and other programs.Contributed photo
